Spaghetti carbonara

Oh yes, the 8th king of Rome is here: Spaghetti alla carbonara. One of the most popular and well-known meals of Roman tradition. Eggs, pecorino cheese, "guanciale" (pork cheack) and black pepper. That's the recipe for a happy Italian lunch.
The name comes from the word "carbonaro" (charcoal burner), so some believe the dish was first made as a meal for charcoal workers. We don't know if that is true, what we do know is that it deserves to be put in your shopping cart!
